Sarah the Performer

Sarah is a classically trained dancer who has studied and performed extensively throughout Canada, Europe and Moscow where she spent two years at the Bolshoi Ballet School.

She began her professional dance career as a soloist with the English Touring Opera's U.K. tour of 'Orpheus and Euridyce'. She has danced with contemporary ballet companies and her selected credits in musical theatre include: Needfire (Mirvish), and Swing step at The Elgin Theatre in Toronto. Sarah was a member of Proarte Danza contemporary ballet company for the 2006 performance season.

Sarah was assistant choreographer to both director Kelly Robinson, and Broadway choreographer Sergio Trujillo on numerous productions including:

  • Stratford Festival's production of "The Sound of Music"
  • Mirvish's production of "Syncopation" at the Elgin Winter Garden
  • "Salome" for Opera Lyra at the NAC in Ottawa

Sarah has been acting in commercials and film and television since childhood and continues choreograph for television, film, theatre and corporate projects.

Currently, Sarah is the teacher and founder of a dance class for people living with Parkinson's disease, hoping to help others experience the ethereal joy she herself feels when moving her body to music.
